I don't know what you fags want, so I'm gonna give a list of my entire Steam library. Pick one out and I'll play it for at very least 15 mins. and write up a summary of my thoughts on the game. Thief gold or hexen. You should play hexen in an engine like zdoom or zandronum, because dosbox is too much of a pain to have fun.

Just so you know, Hexen can get kinda repetitive and the map design can be obscure as hell. Although it may be great for a quick 15-20 min. preview just to show everyone the world. If I do play it, I'm gonna cheat and give myself all the weapons from all the classes and give myself all items and then start skipping around levels to show it all off. If I started at the very beginning, even with all the weapons, it would get boring fast.

Do you still want Hexen?

Sounds like you don't want Hexen. I know the game well, so I'm well aware of the map design. It didn't bug me much, but I do love those old school games where the maps are a maze.

I'm also very, very sad you have supreme commander 2, but you don't have the original. Supcom is my favorite RTS of all time, followed by sins of a solar empire, which I see you do own.

I think the biggest problem with Hexen by far is that their just isn't enough variety in the weapons and the kinds of enemies in the early levels.

Every class has four weapons, but here's the problem. The first one is too weak and not really satisfying, and you don't get the last one until much later. So that pretty much leaves you with two weapons for about 75% of the game. Even with the four weapons together, that's still not very much variety. You also do get powerful one use items, but the problem with that is that the game seems to be really stingy with handing them out besides the Crystal Flasks. And then you add all that to the same enemy types you fight over and over and it just gets wearisome.

Having said all that, I still love Hexen in a way. It's world is just... Unique among games. It has this certain unidentifiable x factor throughout it's entire visual and thematic design that makes it so badass and intriguing. Something that makes you want to explore and lose yourself in this dark world anyway despite its shortcomings. If there's any game that's screaming for a remake, it's this one.

As to SupCom 2, that was actually gifted to me by a friend. I kept it in my library because it really caught my attention despite never really playing any strategy games usually. Why do you like SupCom over SupCom 2 though?

Gosh, where to start? I'm typing on a phone so I can't spend all the time I want talking about it, but if there's one thing, it's the economy. Supcom doesn't care how much money you have when you build a structure or unit. Your income comes in at a rate per second. If you have +10 rate and a -5 cost unit, that unit will build at full speed. If your total economy is at -15, you'll have a storage buffer that drains at -5 until empty. After that, your -5 unit will build at a rate of -3 or so. The +10 you have coming in will get divided between all -15 of your building tasks. So in the end that means you can queue up a billion units at the start of the game so you don't have to worry about building them later. It allows you to focus on more of the macro strategy for the rest of the fight

Supcom2 just said "nah, we're going to do what Starcraft did because that's popular right now."

I might have. F.E.A.R. started lagging out. I fixed it and resumed it again. Also updated the OP with the link to the video collection.

Such unfortunate timing. Well, I got a few things to play tonight if you want me to stream them. Making dinner right now, but maybe after that?

If you have a mic, I'd love to see a stream from you.

It sucks not being able to talk. :(
