This movie kept getting recommended to me through various sources and I finally decided to sit down and watch it. It's about three brothers who grew up on a farm in the northern mountains and their romantic and general life adventures they go through in the process. I must say, the shots of British Columbia where this is filmed are just picturesque and gorgeous, but sadly, that is not enough to save it. Definitely the biggest problem by far with this movie is, as said in the title, it's just too damn cheesy and dramatic all the time, and the action is not always well done.
This movie has a 7.5 user score on IMDb. What? Now, as with many movies I've reviewed, it's definitely not the worst movie out there, but one also has to wonder what exactly people see in this. Are they watching it ironically? If so, that would make sense, although certain movies like Billy Jack would be better fare for that. I do have a suspicion though that those of the female persuasion on IMDb are boosting the scores of this movie a lot. All that being said though, not all of the style of the movie is lost on me. Having a cabin mansion in the mountains of BC would indeed be very awesome. But, you know, maybe with less handsome wild-haired cowboys with a tragic past.
