Reuters has kept a job listing for at least some 10 months (that I have seen). Part of the job is to scan the internet for some specific content and pass along relevant news to Reuters' clients by writing articles or inserting the data on databases.
It mentions the feed reader that I use as the tool that will be using to scan the internet. I don't have the other qualifications for this specific job (be an experienced lawyer), so instead of applying, I found a contact form on their institutional site and I sent them a message about how I wrote various helpful plugins that make it easier to track hundreds of sites using this feed reader and that I would love to work with them to help these lawyers do their jobs better. Never got a reply.
I wonder if the job listing is still being re-posted because none of the lawyers that have the required expertise are good enough with computer tech. I remember reading about an old doctor that never used a computer being fined for not following new regulations that mandated filling electronic records of patients, so I guess it would not be a surprise to see lawyers having difficulties in this area too.
