Like what if a devotee got like halfway into the scripture/teachings, consented to a life saving blood transfusion, and later learned god wanted them dead. Do they just continue playing dumb or repent with their life having soiled god's good name?
Repenting is easy, and costs nothing. You don't have cut yourself open and drain the blood back out, or anything. If murder can be forgiven, so too can this.
Just say you're sorry, and never do it again.
Do you fault the order of education? Are all followers fucking up by not making that an upfront thing to know? Do twitter bios need to be edited? If god disallows for something why permit the existence of it?
This isn't the most important "commandment", or anything, so lesson one is not "WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GET A BLOOD TRANSFUSTION!"
Nor are any sins an "instant death sentence", where if you commit them, there's no longer any hope for you. Coming to know God is supposed to be an ongoing, gradual process, not something that happens overnight, and people are going to commit lots of sins while doing so.
What if said babies have no life? Stillbirths? Eating babies can be inhumane but it doesn't have to be either.
When you said "babies" I thought you were referring to living humans, as opposed to corpses, in the same way that "cows" are different than "beef", in common contexts.
Sure, if the baby can be "ethically sourced", as in, not murdered for this purpose, then I suppose that would be better than the alternative.
