Anyone here play any idle games? I do. It's a fun way to spend a few seconds, even at work

As long as you have a tab open with the game running, it'll play itself. Then you just sit back and watch the numbers go up. Occasionally you'll come back to it and spend the currency you've earned so the numbers will go up faster. There's more to it than that, but I enjoy it. Been playing for around 2 years now.

I've also tried Cookie Clicker, when that was all the rage. It's similar. I hear they've updated that, so now there's a prestige system
On my phone I've played bitcoin billionaire, and that was pretty fun, but then I essentially "beat" it using an exploit to get free premium currency, so it stopped being fun.

I'm gonna be honest. Clicker games or idle games were never stuff I liked in the slightest. Having said that, there are games I play when I'm listening to a youtube video or podcast or something. Games that I'm very comfortable with.

I played Clicker Heroes for about an hour or two before I realized that by playing the game I couldn't use my computer for other stuff and letting the game run idle was "too slow" compared to actively clicking, so that's about as far as I got with that game.

I've played a few of them. I played Cookie Clicker a few years back, Idle Heros and what I think was called Idle Miner Tycoon. Having tried a few, I can see the appeal in the short term, but long term they don't offer anything engaging, eventually the Numbers just become laughibly high and with no Goal and no Endgame, these games can only really hope to be engaging until you've unlocked everything, if that.
