Immigrate legally, don't commit crimes, and you won't get deported.
Don't endanger the lives of officers and you won't get shot.
Due process is whatever the government says it is.

Discuss.

Illegal Immigrants are not illegal people, but they are criminals, which is illegal.
Obstruction of justice/law enforcement is also illegal, and makes you a criminal.
People vote for their legal representatives, in all stages of due process, so as above; FAFO.

Many such cases. Discuss.

I think part of the problem is that every single Latino is treated as if they were illegal immigrants from Mexico that straight up crossed the border.

https://www.mprnews.org/story/2026/...etain-minnesota-5yearold-after-fathers-arrest

ICE says the dad's illegal, then they also say the whole family is illegal, they get asked if the man has a criminal record and the answer is basically "We'll get back at ya with that bro." Then the ICE dude straight up says he believes the dad entered the country illegally and was ordered removed, he doesn't show any proof he straight up says "he was in the U.S. illegally and I believe he’d been ordered removed.” He just has a hunch then?

This thing with the kid has been going on around the whole damn world, yeah we got the news here reporting it too lads.

I'm sure it sucks to get falsely accused and arrested, especially based on the color of your skin. This happens to black people too, for looking like other black people, or for being "suspicious" at the wrong place at the wrong time.

However, such encounters can usually be survived 99.9% of the time by just complying with the officers. You can fight it in court, not on the streets. Or you might just be released, because they have nothing on you.

Is it a terrible injustice to have your life interrupted? Yes. Do you want to have a life to go back to after the interruption? If so, don't resist arrest.

And certainly don't follow officers around, trying to provoke them. Of course, this advice is for people who would rather live than literally die on this hill. If you want to go down believing yourself to be a "hero", go on then. Redditors will remember you for 2 weeks until the next Marvel movie or Star Wars show captures their attention.

I'm not a lawyer, and I don't understand what does or does not constitute money laundering, or what licenses one needs to have to operate a money-transmitting business, so I don't have much to say here.

Man, it's very simple. Dude made an open-source crypto wallet and he got arrested for it by the fucking FBI. And what's even worse, they gave him an absolute bullshit "trial" along with a corrupt judge just so they could make an example out of him.

From what I saw, looking up his name on Wikipedia, he pled guilty, so there was no trial.

Also from Wikipedia, he didn't just make "a wallet". It was also a service that mixed transactions together, making it more difficult to determine where the money came from and where it went. According to the accusations, they "knowingly transmitted criminal proceeds". They also collected fees for each transaction used through the service. It wasn't the "open source code" that got him in trouble, it was the service that they operated and collected fees on.

Let's not pretend that he just pushed some code to GitHub and then the feds broke down his door.

Even if that was all true, you know what also obfuscates transactions? Monero! And, uh... You know... Cold hard cash. BUT HEAVEN FORBID HE MAKE AN ANONYMOUS CRYPTOCURRENCY SYSTEM. As to the server he runs, again assuming that was all true, who fucking cares? It's certainly not an arrestable offense to administrate a server that processes completely anonymous transactions. Or it shouldn't be.

And this ALSO doesn't address the fact that he got no fair trial at ALL.

The entire ICE thing reeks of a theatre show for both sides. Yes if you are illegal you need to leave or in other countries they would just kill you and be done with it. But some of the actions of ICE seem to be just to enrage the protesters while the protesters want a reason to riot. So of course both sides are guilty of wanting something to happen or edging them on to do something stupid or suicidal.

User error. If he wanted a trial, he could have gotten one by simply not pleading guilty.

The government, especially including the IRS. Money laundering is bad. It's like operating a business specializing in getaway drivers. Knowingly helping people to get away with crimes is bad, and based on the statements in the link, he did indeed know that he was dealing with criminals and their money.

I don't have anything witty as I'm too dumb about other country matters, but I just want to say I'm tired of this being the "current thing" indoctrinated kids and teenagers make artwork for (the typical "punch those you disagree with" kind of art).

I'm nowhere near any kid-adjacent services. lol Closest one is definitely Discord but that's it, and even then, it's "old-people" servers.

I can see sonic fans doing this lol. I do feel bad for the kids as on one hand it makes them out to be crazy but I bet most of them can’t help it. Being indoctrinated by the system, and I thought my teenage angst was dumb at points lol. Is this a new thing because I never saw this yet? And it is pathetic as hell to boot.

I think the kids are all into fortnite these days. It's only grown adults drawing their favorite cartoon characters as standing up to ICE.

I only saw them through screenshots. Then again they're compiled for a forum thread discussing such kind of "art". No way I'm giving the original "artists" free views.

Yeah, while I might remember teenagers following similar trends, it's more likely man/womanchildren doing it. Tale as old as time(?).
