Except this one is signed by the singer

I blame you all for this. I don't know how, but somehow, it's your fault.

Will post pics when I get it

I know, nobody cares, but it's a new thread at least, right?

The singer is Tarja Turunen

I tend to have a bad influence on people, my apologies.

Never really understood people's obsession with getting signed items though, but if it makes you happy, all the more power to you.

I don't know how much money was wasted, but I was going through my games and DVDs last night and found some duplicates. Some of it may have come from merging collections with someone getting rid of theirs (why do I have 2 DVDs of Resident Evil Apocalypse? ) but it was pretty silly too.

Thanks!

Her solo stuff might not always be as good as pre-2007 Nightwish but it's the next best thing

Even in my darkest hours her voice can soothe me when nothing else will

Of course, their heavier songs are great too, but if you've stuck with me this far, you've probably heard them already

It's weird, I'm not a collector of anything except for music-related items, and even then, symphonic metal is a pretty obscure genre so the signed stuff isn't terribly expensive. If it was, I probably wouldn't bother

And if it wasn't for Tarja Turunen and early Nightwish I never would've gotten into symphonic metal or opera

I would only pay 100 bucks for one of her CDs if they came with her used panties, don't get the signature thing either
I've been a Nightwish/Tarja fan since I was a teen, that's probably all it is. And if it wasn't for them, I would've never given opera a second thought, now it's my favorite thing to listen to if i'm not in the mood for metal

I liked about half of their first album with Annette but nothing after that. Which is a real shame, because I loved their new singer Floor Jansen in After Forever, but even with her their newest album just isn't the same.

That and I finally make enough money to actually have hobbies so I'm really just buying things I like at this point. The signature thing, it just feels like I now own a piece of history, I guess. I don't really know either

I have a copy of Oceanborn signed by all five members but I honestly have my doubts about it. The signatures are almost TOO perfect

Okay, Arnox - you gotta forgive me for this necrobump.. but if this is the same Juicebox from the first version of Sanctuary then I have some very bad news to share in case you weren't aware... but this person, Juicebox, has sadly passed away sometime ago. I think this is the same person, since this person logged in for the last time two years ago. I thought I'd let you know, since I just discovered they were also posting here although not for a long time.

Two people dead now? Looks like Sanctuary is hazardous for your health.

Actually, that number could be higher than two, if you're not strictly talking about the versions of Sanctuary since the first one. Because if you're including the first version, the actual figure of dead members would be six. Don't worry, it's not Sanctuary that is hazardous considering the deaths took place after 2014, meaning that Sanctuary is still safe, or should I say... a sanctuary.
