Just found this crap randomly. Oh boy, you know I gotta check this out. :) In fairness to WoT, ALL of these reviews were made over ten years ago. That was about a year after the launch of Sanctuary v1.0. And I don't think I need to tell you guys again what went down with THAT community...

Sanctuary does NOT contain child pornography and your ass will be banned so fucking fast if I see it too along with the deletion of the offending content. I'm sure that they're referring to the assholes of the v1.0 community that loved to spam the site with CP at the time. Regardless, that community has long since been taken care of. Putting that aside, we got a complaint of "hate speech", whatever that means. Sure. And we got a complaint of material of a malicious nature. Again, no idea what that means. Perhaps they mean like... Angry material? Yeah, there were a lot of angry idiots on Sanctuary v1.0. You got me there.

For illegal stuff, yeah, you also got me there. There is definitely illegal and forbidden files and knowledge on Sanctuary, though we limit that somewhat, again, with the CP rule, bestiality rule, classified files rule, and the malware rule. We also don't allow any sales whatsoever to happen on our site, period. End of story. For hackers on Sanctuary v1.0... Eh, kinda. I would much more have called them script kiddies if anything. As of today though, I don't know of any "hackers" on Sanctuary. Maybe Houseman... ? Gauche looks suspicious. Angel could probably blow this server up if he wanted to I imagine... But yeah, no proclaimed "hackers" (or crackers for that matter) on today's Sanctuary that I know of.

Scammers, no. We don't allow sales on Sanctuary in any capacity and disguised malware is directly against the rules. Criminals, sure. We're all criminals. And so are you. Even your little old grandma probably violated some major traffic laws at least. "But the reviewer meant hardened criminals." Eh, again, on Sanctuary v1.0, sure, but no one that I know of on here currently. Bad Ideas was phased out, and though you can still absolutely discuss crime on here, being a shithead is no longer subtly encouraged like it was on Sanctuary v1.0 and our predecessor sites. We are here to ask questions, to think critically, to learn, to grow, and to challenge some conventional ideas. We are not here to find ways to be an asshole to the general citizenry.

And finally, we come to the last accusation. Stealing personal information. Again, it's flat out against the rules. And once again, the Sanctuary v1.0 community just loved to ignore that rule. And again, that community has long since been dealt with. That's all there is to it.

*whew* Let's move on now. The rest should be much faster as many of the other negative reviews have the same points.

While the website has an interesting and worthwhile concept, it falls short of its forefather Totse, which it was originated from. It claims to provide an arena for more controversial and dark discussion, but seems to want to condone too much silliness and irrelevant nonsense. They greatly fall short of their own mission statement, whether its in regard to the purpose and concept of the site itself or who they have in charge of keeping the inmates at bay in the asylum. The owner and admin himself seems to flip between two personalities, reclusive one day to whining that his own userbase isn't nice enough to him the next. Its a baffling contradiction, because in theory you would think he was attempting to attract a more hardened and street savy type of person, yet admonishes people for not being polite or well mannered enough as if they were about to have dinner with royalty. The concept of the site could work and have its niche, it just seems the practical application of what they are trying to do fails miserably.

That's not very nice. :( But yeah, I was really inexperienced back then and I simply didn't really know how to handle that community. I tried but I was never able to understand them. Now though, I do, and the answer was much more simple than I would have ever thought. The Sanctuary v1.0 community wanted anarchy, and while Sanctuary does absolutely offer freedom of speech, we don't do anarchy. Simple as that. The collapse of Sanctuary v1.0 was partially my fault. But in the end, I refuse to take 100% responsibility as I truly, truly believe the Sanctuary v1.0 community was utterly unmanageable. That community has gone through, I kid you not, four different administrations, and some of those admins were quite amazing and dedicated to their position.

Great site for discussing anything and everything, even the taboo of other similar forums. No CP is tolerated, that is a bogus claim.

Into Sanctuary is not unlike other fringe discussion forums around the web. There you can indulge in conversation relating to any subject manner imaginable. Like all other forums the community there is to be judged on an individual basis, there's some good ones.. and there's some not so good ones. All in all, a unique forum with a dedicated user-base, that looks poised to only grow and evolve in continuing months.

Website is a general forum for everything and supports free speech and information. As such, some content on it is not appropriate for minors at all. Child porn claims are verifiably false though.

Awesome forum with a lot of good information. The other reviews about child pornography are lies made up to discredit the forum. This site is aimed at adults (language, content, etc) so it is not kid friendly. There is no malware, phishing, or any other harmful content on the site.

Ahhh, I know this member. Used to like him a lot, but then he and I had a falling out and he migrated to RDFRN and never returned if I recall correctly. I imagine he probably left the TOTSE community permanently when RDFRN's admin was doxed and the site shut down, but at this point, that's just a guess.

This website has advice on how to commit illegal activities (ex. shoplifting, theft, fraud). Be wary of scams as well. In addition there have been many reported instances of users being banned for posting child pornography (which means it happens fairly often). DEFINITELY not suitable for children and of course, forums mean hate/opinions.

I think it be good for them to see how this place is now compared to when they looked at it. We still be labeled hate speech I bet, but that not a big deal to most people.
