Facts about Uranus

Uranus smells like farts! This is due to the clouds of Uranus containing hydrogen sulphide, the same gas that produces the smell in farts and rotten eggs.

Uranus is a bit on the whack side! This is due to it having an axial tilt of 99 degrees, thus it rotates on it's side.

Uranus is not on fire, it fact it is quite frigid! Due to its distance from the sun, not even Uranus's seasons make much of a difference to the temperature. Near it's cloud tops, it is a frigid -216 degrees Celsius (that's -357 degrees Fahrenheit for you Americans). A huge part of this coldness is due to Uranus barely creating any internal heat.

Uranus is so huge, that you can jam many Earth's inside it! Uranus is the third largest planet. It's volume is 63x larger than Earth's, meaning you could fit 63 Earths up in Uranus.

Just because you are interesting, Uranus, doesn't mean you get to moon us so much. Uranus has 27 known moons, with random, unstable orbits.

People are welcome to add more facts about Uranus, the planet we all like talking about.

Uranus is very windy, with wind speeds up to 900 km/h (560 mph).

Uranus is also quite massive, coming in at 14.5 Earth masses. This makes it the 4th most massive planet, behind Neptune, even though Uranus is slightly bigger.
