Almost all of what he's saying is what I've been telling you all for years. Vote third party. Not voting at all, of course, doesn't do anything whatsoever. At very least, higher ups will notice SOME amount of people voting third party, and it gives you something firm to talk about to others besides, "Oh, I didn't vote."
Also, for that civics survey, the right to political franchise (voting and running for office) should be restricted. (#1) Also something I've been saying for years. No more massive majorities of people who hold voting power completely unwilling to do the most basic work of vetting candidates and knowing about basic fucking government functions. You want franchise, then you better show that you really damn well want it and mean it and you're willing to put others above yourself, even while under heavy stress and harassment.
The United States has now fallen to bullshit mostly because we got terribly spoiled. When the US was first established, it was implied and known most everywhere that our rights also came with individual responsibility. That on a truly free people, there is a much bigger onus to do your basic duties and be a good citizen. That slowly went out the window, and now, it's just me, me, me. My rights! What about my rights? Rights!

What if I don't like any of the third-party candidates either? It seems easier to me to force the Republicans to change by not voting than get a majority support for any third party.

Well, uh... I don't know. There's a ton of candidates though. Bound to be someone in there you at least kind of like. Honestly though, let's not pretend that any of them are going to win the election at all. At this point, it almost doesn't matter whatsoever what third-party candidate you vote for. Even just voting for ANY third-party candidate is enough to send the message of a vote of no confidence.

I think this is a psyop. Not voting only keeps the two parties in power, and with some extrmely rare exceptions, 3rd party is a waste of time. Putting any stock in the 3rd parties means you expect the big two to be obligated to listen. They won't. They will win with or without your vote to "guide" them to what matters.
The real game is in the primaries, but those have been so entirely deemphasised that people forget that's where your vote matters most.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I seem to remember from one of the two last US elections that votes for president don't actually matter, as it's the state ..governor? Electoral college? thing that does. They or them can treat votes as suggestions and actually vote contrary to popular opinion, no?
As an aside, the "too big to rig" thing going around just seems foolish to me. If they can change even one vote intentionally, they can change however many. It doesn't actually address the real issue.

There's a saying: "If you don't vote, you don't get to complain when the outcome is one you don't like." Not voting is the same as saying you accept whatever outcome happens. Voting shows that you give a damn about your rights and your future. Hundreds of soldiers fought and died for our right to vote; not voting is spitting on their graves.

Complaining is the first step to taking control. If you go around with the mentality that you can't do anything about the situation, the enemy wins. And like I said, soldiers died for our rights. I'm not going to spit on their graves by acting like my say doesn't matter. Everyone's say matters. The people proved that this election.

I don't think that's the right way to look at it. Yes, people sacrificed their lives for our right to vote, but if that's the only reason you're voting, then we're going to get the shit we've fallen into. Most people aren't able to live their lives, work their jobs, and love their families, all while paying attention to the people in power to keep them in check. It's a lot easier to delegate that work to someone else, like a news agency who has time and access to distill the important bits down.
Yeah... you probably see where this is going.
In short, you should only vote if you understand what you're doing and are invested in the success of the country and the policies that run it.
