And at last the Chibnall era is finally over. Twenty-six episodes and five specials of awful, incompetent writing and it's finally over.
Of those twenty-six episodes and five specials there was only one, just one, that I'd consider "good". And it's this one.
Yes, the final episode is the only one that i can consider "good".
Admittedly, I only think its good because Sacha Dhawan's performance of the Master was actually entertaining; the cameos of the first, fifth, sixth, seventh and eight doctors, along with two of their companions was neat; and lastly, the companions having a meeting similar to an alcoholics anonymous meeting, was an amusing idea.
Don't ask me about the story because I'd forgotten it almost immediately after it had finished. Something about daleks making volcanoes erupt, and cybermen (technically they're not cybermen, but actually cyber timelords, but that's besides the point) doing...something? Yeah, don't know what they were trying to actually do other than convert UNIT?
The thirteenth doctor finally had a scene I actually liked, which was when she regenerates and says "tag, you're it" and that was the only time I've actually liked her.
Looking forward to the 60th anniversary to see David Tennant as the fourteenth doctor and how that story plays out.
All i have left to say now is, Good bye and good riddance chibanll. Go ruin some other show

So how was the story?
Boring and forgettable

Where should I start if I wanted to watch Dr. Who?
Pick a doctor you like and start with their first episode i guess. There's relatively little carry over between doctors, aside from a few characters, so you're not going to miss out on some grand overarching story. Personally, series 7 (Matt Smiths last series) through to series 9 (Peter Capaldis first and second series) are probably some of my favourites. Series 10 is pretty mediocre, it gets stuck with a three-part story in the middle that was boring and felt like a drag, but has a good final episode. Series 1 through 6 are hit & miss. Some good episodes, some not so good episodes.

I haven't gotten round to watching the "classic" series (1963-89) so I can't say if they're good or not. From what i've read, they have a greater focus on multi-episode stories rather than the modern mostly self-contained episode structure.
