Just to be clear from the outset, whatever you like or have couldn't possibly be as good as the stuff that I have and like.

I got myself a Switch almost a year ago. Great little maschine that lacks Software (which, considerings it's Nintendo, is almost to be expected). Sadly it doesn't seem to hold up to the general “Gameboy will continue to work during the apocolypse“-standard, my Joycons are already borked and will need to be sent in shortly.

Otherwise I'm let down by the fact that there is no Virtual Console thus far.

I'm really hoping for a port of Kingdom Hearts 3.

Seriously, my damn Processor got stuck to the Mainboard without me realizing it and I bent some Pins. I was really happy when I realized that my PC had just gone from "somethings wrong" to "paperweight" xD

Edit: Wait wait wait. How can you not have a Smartphone? I considered myself a hold-out and I've had one for years...so...how are you doing? You need any help? Fire or Antibiotics perhaps?

Can't you just get a new Motherboard (bend those pins some more for that processor) though?
Or just buy a new computer. Doesn't have to be the latest greatest. I'm not a Hardware PCMR..

I use an old dumbphone. I only need it for sms and calls.
I have a better internet at my stationary PC, so why would I settle for mobile sites?
I'm not that desperate for instant gratification. ,)

It does suck that busses/trains and banks/government are trying to force smartphones on everyone though.
Trying to phase out the "old" completely (including physical money!!). and in their short-sightedness, Along with elders, tourists, back-ups, etc.
It's moving more and more to a big brother state.

Well, see, the problem is that if I replace the Mainboard I'll pretty much have to replace everything or pay a premium (weirdly) for old parts. I can't afford either.

Oh. It's that old?
Try look for old computers being replaced by friends/family or on ebay then.
Should be a lot cheaper, and then you've got spare, spare parts.

I used to be a console fanboy. But then they decided to take away most everything that made a console actually unique and not redundant to a PC.

Before that time though, N64, Xbox, Gamecube, and the 360 dominated my time, console wise.

See, that's why I got a Switch. Sure, it's underpowered, but it's also unique. A PC can't just do what a Switch does as it could with the One and PS4.

There hasn't been a good console since the Gamecube days. I'm strictly PC these days, but I'll gladly play anything pre-2006, no matter the platform.

The big problem with the Switch's main selling point (portability) is one most handheld consoles have in that there are remarkably few situations where you're away from home that would undeniably be better if you had some games on hand to play, the biggest by far being riding public transportation. Outside of that, where would you use it? On top of that, the Switch is a nice fat target for thieves, so you can't take it to work with you.

I have a fully modded 3DS and a Gameboy SP, but I never really use them, sadly, even though they're both quite nice systems. Especially the modded 3DS.

Normally I'd very much understand that, but Nintendo was such a fucking dick to Project M that I now feel zero remorse for emulating SSBB and Project M by extension.

I use it on the Bus and on Trains. I also take it to work. And a would-be Thief should be able to see that I'd be a bad mark.

Used to be a PC-main gamer, but now I mostly use the PS4.

I have a Switch as well, but (at present) only two games on it. The rest of 2018 has a lot of Switch stuff I'm interested in, though, and very little PS4 stuff for me, so I think the Switch is going to get more attention for the latter half of the year.
