I started with a Human Mage so we should probably all stick to Alliance. Battousai will guide us with his infinite wisdom.

(I'll also see if we can play sometime today as well since it's so easy to install, but if we can't, no problem.)

Sounds about right, if you are in Britain. Arnox's 5 pm is my 9pm, ergo for you its 4 more hours than me, so yes 1 AM

Ah the classic PvP tank, although to be fair if you go full prot spec for leveling its gonna be hell unless we are grouped all the time and you tank.

Warriors are the slowest solo levelers in the entire game in vanilla WoW, even when using the Arms spec which is their best leveling spec. Protection is the only real pure tank spec that was offered originally in vanilla WoW, however your dps will be far lower and given how warriors have to fight 1 mob at a time since they lack good crowd control skills or aoe skills until higher levels it will certainly make your leveling experience even more grueling than it already is for the average warrior lol.

On another note, this private server doesn't have any respec costs you can go to your trainers at any time and it costs nothing to reassign your talent points unlike on Blizzard servers where it costed quite a bit of gold to do it. So experiment as much as you want.

Ah, ok. I have no problems grinding solo to keep up. I'm also not married to it, so if there's some position unfilled, I could do it.
I'd really prefer not to be a druid or healer though. Too much to keep track of. My usual mains are tanks or ranged DPS (guns < magic).

I'm probably gonna make a priest and heal for our leveling group since I already have a level 60 Warlock for DPS, or maybe a holy paladin that also works great for heals but does decent dps and has good armor for more balanced solo leveling. However given that I can respec at any time I could just go full holy priest for our group to heal and then respec to shadow priest for solo leveling.

There is no need for those problems. If you and Arnox are gonna be humans you are gonna be in Elwynn forest for the first 12 levels I can just go there with my warlock and make a group with you 2 and summon anyone else who chose night elf, dwarf or gnome. Then I switch to my human priest and we regroup, simple as that. Also works with any other races, I can go to anywhere on the world at this point group and summon wherever we need.

Also at low levels, as long as you don't leave the alliance territories you will not be flagged for PvP so there is no problem with getting ganked. Just don't go into Redridge Mountains at level 10 lol, you will be flagged to PvP as soon as you enter contested territory for the first time and any wandering level 60's can kill you. They do that a lot on Redridge.

Well, we haven't had a game night in a while so THIS IS HAPPENING. Maybe same time on Tuesday, though Batt may not be able to join.

How about we schedule it a little further away in time, so people can prepare. It's also probably best to do it on a US-Friday/EU-Saturday. When people don't usually work.
