Thought this was a really cool tool. Might be restricted to the US. I know there was also meetup.com but I think that generally got abandoned for some reason.

Works for everywhere, its showing me events in Buenos Aires.

It tries to set last searched city as Default city and AllEvents homepage though.

It's also using Cloudfront and google analytics and tag manager..
