Are people finally waking up?

I certainly fucking hope so...

This latest Discord announcement has been making waves like crazy, and as these tech giants push us more and more, I do think we, as a society, are finally beginning to say, "No, that's enough. Fuck you." The harder they try to foist all this shit upon us, whether it's from the government or whether it's from these bitch CEOs, we are pushing back. We are realizing we are not alone and we are uniting. Maybe it isn't much. Maybe it's not enough. BUT IT'S SOMETHING FOR SURE.

Do not discount that.

I remember in the 2010s when people would complain and argue about the stupidest shit. We were massively softening up as political correctness entered the sphere and making people uncomfortable was apparently digitally illegal. Literally so in the UKistan (borrowing that from infinityshock). But now... I guess the universe finally said, "I'm gonna give ya'll something to really cry about," and started whooping our asses in multiple facets. And that is perhaps the one nice thing in this entire 2020s shitstorm...

It is indeed forcing people to wake up. And it is so beautiful...

You're sadly on some copium. I've seen other people in despair about the situation turn to the same. Sure, there can be brief respites, but so far the signs all show that this and that travesty is going full steam ahead. Wokeness isn't dead, and Digital ID is implemented in several countries. https://reclaimthenet.org/?s=Digital+ID or just https://reclaimthenet.org/posts in general

And would you say the American Revolution was copium for Americans too? Technically, it should never have succeeded. Every journey begins with a single step.

GOOD.

I don't think you get me. I don't have hope that corporations and governments are gonna stop this behavior. I have hope that they WON'T. Because the more they push, the more aggravated and pissed everyone will get, and the more they will unite and rise up. I'm seeing it happen now. Sometimes, you have to hit bottom to do anything.

Whether you agree with Luigi Mangione or not, look how just one person's actions with a silenced pistol incited so much of a social flurry IN SUPPORT of it. And you can roll your eyes if you want to. You can say that it's different today. But the establishment wants you to think you're powerless. It always has. I'm not gonna let them dictate to me their narrative though.

Fair enough.

I am torn as on one hand I do not think people will fight for anything anymore, or if they do it is to be a pawn to the system. I mean look at 9/11 and how people got shell shocked that caused the patriot act to pass without everyone fighting to stop it. Hopefully people will be wiser this time, but who knows. I would be impressed if people will fight back.

They already are, although it's small battles here and there. As to the PATRIOT Act, that was when society was enjoying a luxury that was, at that time, never seen before, so that was when we were most asleep at the wheel. In retrospect, it makes total sense that the PATRIOT Act passed with relatively little fanfare in society. And especially since the US was excitedly pumping itself up for war at the time.

Now that I think about it it could work out this time as you made a good point on the luxury at that time. I did see a graph a while ago and how the economy was doing good and unemployment rate was still down at that time, so it make sense how it was not in everyone's face. Not to mention the legacy news was still in power at that time. But now with the entire Epstein Files and insanity, I do not see people falling for the Feds and their "Protect the Kids" as I would be more surprised that more people want the government dead for this.
